Depicted in the cartoon is a scene in which changes occur between a mother and her daughter during thirty years. Three decades ago,on the road walked a young and vigorous mother, holding her beloved daughter's little hand, while now on the same road stands the grown-up daughter, supporting her elderly mother instead. Time flies, yet the radiant smiles on their faces still bloom like a flower.
Below the picture lies a caption—mutual support, wisely demonstrating the role of family affection in our life journey. Dwelling in our hearts, parents are two giants who give us life, bring us up and teach us what life is. Maybe they are less than perfect, or perhaps the family affection between us fails to flash a dazzling light. Yet it is a touch of softness and kindness that coats the happiest color for our lives. As the old saying goes,"The sheep has the feeling of filial piety and the young crow has the sentiment to re-feed their parents." In the early days, we enjoyed what our parents bestowed; when they grow older, it is our responsibility to support them, making them constantly feel the presence of family affection and then enjoy their latter years. Furthermore, we should cherish, educate and care for our children, letting them pass this thick cordiality on.
However,we should consider honoring our parents—as Chinese Confucianism emphasizes filial piety—a moral obligation rather than helpless behavior subject to the morality.
